The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team was featured on College Hockey
News following its ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round series
victory against Brown this past weekend. The article, written by
Quinnipiac journalism student Tim O'Donnell for CHN, discusses
Quinnipiac's consistent post-season play since joining ECAC Hockey,
as well as the solid play of Matthew Peca (Petawawa, Ontario) and
Eric Hartzell (White Bear Lake, Minn.) this past weekend.
Quinnipiac won a tournament series for the seventh consecutive year, making it the only ECAC Hockey team to win a postseason series since the Bobcats joined the league. Quinnipiac has never lost a First Round series, which includes an overall mark of 14-3. In addition, Quinnipiac has shut-out the opposition in four of its last eight ECAC Hockey Tournament games, with three going to Hartzell's credit.
No. 5-seed Quinnipiac will head to Hamilton, N.Y. to take on No. 4 Colgate in a best-of-three, ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal Series set for March 9-11, with each game slated for a 7 p.m. start.
