
Pierre Soubrier Named adidas/Northeast Conference Player Of The Week

HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac men's soccer senior defender Pierre
Soubrier (Aurignac, France) was awarded his first-career
adidas/Northeast Conference Player of the Week honors, as announced
by the league on Monday, Nov. 8.
The captain finished his Quinnipiac career with one of his best
performances in a 4-3 overtime victory on Friday, Nov. 5 against
Central Connecticut State University. In the contest, Soubrier
collected two assists and scored the game-winning goal in the
93rd minute of play on a free kick opportunity.
Soubrier picked up his first assist of the game on a goal scored
by sophomore forward William Daniels (Bethany, Conn.) in the ninth
minute of play as the Bobcats took the 1-0 lead. His second assist
came in the 67th minute when his cross was headed in by
sophomore forward Philip Suprise (Milwaukee, Wis.) to give the
Bobcats the 3-2 advantage.
Soubrier's goal came in the third minute of the first overtime
frame on a free-kick shot that rocketed by CCSU's goalkeeper and
provided Quinnipiac with the 4-3 win.
The Aurignac, France native finished the season first on the team
in assists, with five, and second on the team in points, with nine.
His five assists also place him in a four-way tie for fifth in the
NEC.
The selection was the first weekly award granted to a Quinnipiac
men's soccer player this season.
