
Men?s Hockey Ranked 16th In USCHO.com/CSTV Division I Hockey Poll

The Quinnipiac University men's hockey team, previously ranked 18th, moved up to 16th in the USCHO.com/CSTV Division I Hockey Poll, released Jan. 7, 2008. The Bobcats also received votes in the USA Today/Hockey Magazine Division I poll. Quinnipiac is currently 11-5-3 overall and 4-3-3 in ECAC Hockey action.
Quinnipiac is joined in the USCHO.com poll by ECAC foe Clarkson, who checked in at 11th in the most recent poll. Princeton (17), Cornell (16), Harvard (12), Yale (12) and Rensselaer (8) all received votes.
The Bobcats are currently enjoying a seven-game unbeaten streak, their longest since they joined ECAC Hockey for the 2005-06 season. The streak, which matches Quinnipiac's longest unbeaten streak in 2006-07, is their second longest since joining ECAC Hockey in 2005-06, when Quinnipiac went eight games without a loss. The Bobcats' streak is currently the second longest in NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey, second to Northeastern's 11-game unbeaten streak.
Quinnipiac is currently tied for 4th place with Yale in the ECAC standings with 11 points. The Bobcats and the Bulldogs square off on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Ingalls Rink in New Haven, Conn. Quinnipiac also plays Brown on Friday, January 11 at 7 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
