Jordan Rippe joins the Quinnipiac track and field coaching staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2017-18 season. His primary responsibility is to work with the throwers.
Having graduated from the University of New Haven as a double major in chemistry and forensic science in May 2016, Rippe has since secured a Lab Technician position with Bristol-Myers Squibb where he works full-time. Previously, Rippe held a Crime Scene Technician internship with the Waterbury Police Department Crime Lab in the summer of 2015 in addition to being an Operations Assistant at Dicine Technologies for two years (2012-14).
A distinguished athlete at New Haven, Rippe was a two-time USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-East Region honoree in 2014 and 2015. Named Scholar-Athlete of the Month, Rippe was an exceptional student having been a three-time Dean’s List recipient in his undergraduate years.
He captained the University of New Haven men’s track team for two seasons, helping lead the team to three NEICCCA Championship appearances and three NCAA Championship qualifications. As a student-athlete he led training and weightlifting sessions for 14+ hours each week and was a consummate participant in community service activities organized by the program.
