Torr Terranova comes to Quinnipiac after five seasons with the University of Hartford's men's and women's tennis programs, including the past three as the programs' head coach before both programs were eliminated at Hartford.
As the head coach at Hartford, Terranova put together three of the top recruiting classes in Hartford tennis history, with multiple players ranked both regionally and nationally. In addition, Terranova also mentored multiple student-athletes that earned America East All-Conference honors. In addition, Terranova was also named the 2015-16 America East Women's Tennis Coach of the Year after leading the program to the conference tournament.
Prior to his stint at Hartford, Terranova was the girl's tennis coach at Weston (Conn.) High School where he guided that program to the 2011 State Championship while earning Coach of the Year honors.
A four-year varsity student-athlete at Saint Michael's (Vt.) College, Terranova was a senior captain and All-Northeast-10 Conference selection. Terranova graduated from Saint Michael's with a bachelor's degree in economics and is currently pursuing a master's degree in school counseling at Central Connecticut State University.
