Men’s Tennis Hosts Fairfield in Key MAAC Matchup

HAMDEN, Conn. –The Quinnipiac men's tennis team returns home to face in-state and conference rival Fairfield, vying for a spot in the MAAC tournament.

Matches are set to begin at 3:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

The Bobcats moved to 3-3 in MAAC play after earning wins against Merrimack and Mount St. Mary's over the weekend.
Csanad Nyaradi / Vishal Prakash picked up their seventh doubles win of the season and their fifth in six matches.
Nyaradi picked up his fourth singles win of the season.
Carlos Braun Simo improved to 9-4 in singles, winning five of his last six matches.

ITA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The teams of Carlos Braun Simo / Elias Hoxha & Finn Burridge / Alessandro Sciacca each won their respective doubles matchups to advance to the round of 64.
Carlos Braun Simo won his main draw singles consolation match, defeating Ethan Chung (Yale): 7-5, 7-6 (9-7).

BACK-TO-BACK MAAC CHAMPS

Quinnipiac men's tennis won its second straight MAAC title this past season, defeating Rider 4-1 in the championship.
Elias Hoxha was named Most Outstanding Performer for his clinch in the win over Rider.
In the semifinal, QU defeated Niagara 4-1.
The Bobcats returned to their second straight NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 23 Clemson 4-0.

ALL-MAAC SELECTIONS

The Bobcats return All-MAAC selections Elias Hoxha, Carlos Braun Simo, and Finn Burridge.
Hoxha maintained a perfect 10-0 record against MAAC opponents.
