Kaelyn Long joins the Bobcats for her first season in Hamden in 2024 after spending two years at Harvard University.
At Harvard she helped coach the Crimson to a 7-0 conference record culminating in regular season and Ivy League Tournament Championships this past season. The Harvard coaching staff she was a part of was named NFHCA Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023 as well after making an NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal appearance.
Prior to coaching, Long was a four-year player at Bucknell University before playing at Ohio University for one season, graduating in 2022. She was a First Team All-MAC defender with Ohio in 2021 while also recording four goals and one assist.
As a senior at Bucknell, Long was an NCAA Woman of the Year Top 30 as well as team captain. The Hanover, Pa. native was also named NFHCA Third Team All-American in 2021.
In addition to her work at Harvard, Long has also worked numerous USAFH camps including being a USAFH Nexus Regional Coach.
