Kevin Murphy enters his first season as an assistant coach (volunteer) with the Quinnipiac University baseball team prior to the 2023 season.
Prior to making his way to Quinnipiac, Murphy spent a year as a performance coach with Powerhouse Training. There he was responsible for the development of athletes, facility maintenance and served as the U17 prospects coach.
Prior to his time at Powerhouse Training, Murphy served as the head coach and site director for the CT Crush 13u program. Before taking over for the CT Crush, Murphy served as the Director of Communications at Complex Sports Academy. An elite premier training facility out of western Massachusetts,Complex Sports Academy provides athletes with the opportunity to maximize their abilities physically and mentally while keeping a culture of discipline, excitement and unity.
Murphy spent his undergraduate years at Eastern Connecticut as a member of the baseball program. After graduating from Eastern Connecticut in 2021 with his bachelor’s degree in sports and leisure management, Murphy spent a season as a graduate student at Nichols as a member of the baseball program.
