RIVERDALE, NY – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team fell to the Manhattan Jaspers, 2-0, on Monday afternoon in Riverdale, giving the Bobcats their second loss in conference play. This was also QU's first loss since their conference opening loss against Niagara (3-2, Sep. 5).

The Bobcats and Jaspers were locked into a scoreless tie for much of the opening half, but that changed when Manhattan got on the board in the 32^nd minute. Olivia McMaster put the Jaspers ahead as Arancha Antunes recorded an assist on the play.

Manhattan maintained the one-goal lead for the final 13 minutes of the first half as they entered the halftime break with the advantage.

Quinnipiac threatened in the second half but couldn't come up with a goal as the Jaspers countered with a goal of their own to make it a two-goal lead in the 83^rd minute. Lauren Ahearn recorded the Jaspers' second goal, with Olivia McMaster picking up an assist.

With the loss, the Bobcats' three-game win streak snapped, and QU will fall to 5-3-1 on the year and 3-2-0 in conference play.

NOTES

Quinnipiac recorded just two shots on goal in the loss, their second-fewest in a single game this season (0 at UNC – Aug. 16).
Morgan Cupo and Evelyn Keay recorded a shot apiece in the effort.
Olivia Jarvis recorded three saves in the loss. Jarvis has made 31 saves so far this season.
The Jaspers outshot the Bobcats, 14-6, and 5-2 in shots on goal.
The Bobcats earned eight corners, while Manhattan earned five.
With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 7-6-4 all-time against the Jaspers and 3-2-2 on the road.
