- Struck out 14 batters in 11.1 innings pitched and allowed just one earned run all season
- Scattered one baserunner with two strikeouts in two scoreless innings in his first appearance of the season at UTSA on Feb. 14
- Struck out three batters in 2.2 innings of relief at James Madison on Feb. 21
- Made two appearances vs. Mississippi State on March 6 and 8, totaling four strikeouts with two hits and one unearned run allowed in three innings of relief
- Earned his first career win as he struck out four batters in 2.2 scoreless innings of relief at Kennesaw State on March 11

- Played at North Salem (N.Y.) High School, where he led the Tigers to two straight state championships, one of only four schools to win two straight in Section 1 of the NYSPHSAA
- Was 7-2 with an 0.78 ERA and 119 strikeouts as a senior, while hitting .385 at the plate.
- Threw six one-hitters as a senior, earning him first-team all-state honors (after third-team honors as a junior) and the Dom Cecere Pitcher of the Year Award
