HAMDEN, Conn. — The Whitney Ave., rivalry will see another chapter written on Friday night, as the Quinnipiac men's soccer program heads down to Yale for a matchup with the Bulldogs.
The Bobcats enter the matchup at 1-1-0, defeating Providence in its home opener on Monday afternoon in a thrilling 3-2 affair, while Yale has yet to play a game this season. They finished 3-9-3 in the 2025 campaign.

- Quinnipiac scored a pair of second-half goals, erasing its halftime deficit and knocking off BIG EAST foe Providence by a 3-2 final at the Quinnipiac Soccer Stadium on Monday afternoon.
- In the 82nd minute, Remy Barone drew a foul in the box and after VAR confirmation, Taehyeon Lim slotted the spot kick into the bottom left corner to give the Bobcats the decisive goal.
- William Holum opened the scoring in the 29th minute to give Quinnipiac a 1-0 advantage. After a pair of Providence goals late in the first half, Sixten Karlsson got the second started strong, burying a shot into the far netting to even the game at two.
- Alexander Hansen was strong in net, making 10 saves while facing 22 total shots from the Friars attack.
- The annual meeting will have its 16th affair on Friday night, with Quinnipiac holding a 4-8-3 record against its Whitney Ave., rivals.
- The two teams will meet for the third consecutive season, as they played to a 2-2 draw last season in New Haven. Fredrik Moen and Joey Saputo Jr., each found the net but a late Yale equalizer knotted the game at two with a minute to go to finish the night even.

- The Bobcats earned 109 points in the poll and will face each of the teams ahead of them in the league season.
