
Eschoyez Picked to Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

NEW YORK – Quinnipiac field hockey midfielder Francisca Eschoyez has been named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The rising sophomore is coming off one of the best offensive seasons in recent QU Field Hockey history. She tallied 10 goals, the most since Emilia Massarelli in 2021. Her 22 points led the Bobcats, while also dishing two assists. She started all 18 games for QU a season ago, finishing third in total minutes (1,023).
Her best game of 2024 came against Merrimack on Sept. 15, scoring four goals to tied a program record in a single game, while also adding an assist. All four of her goals came in the first half.
QU was picked seventh in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing eighth last season. The Bobcats return 81 percent of their scoring from last season while bringing in seven newcomers. The Bobcats travel to face Holy Cross to open their season this Friday at 6:00 PM.
