Men's Tennis Sits in Top 10 in Final ITA New England Rankings

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's tennis finished in the top 10 of the ITA New England region while Daniel Velek also finished in the top 20, both for the second straight season.

The Bobcats, led by Head Coach Bryan Adinolfi finished the season 12-12, winning their second straight MAAC title with a perfect 8-0 conference record. They would eventually fall to No. 23 Clemson in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. QU finished eighth in the ITA New England region a season ago, making it back-to-back top 10 rankings.

Daniel Velek also garnered another spot in the top 20 for the second straight season, moving up from the No. 20 spot to No. 18 this year. He helped lead the Bobcats at the No. 1 singles spot, going 6-2 in the MAAC and 10-9 overall. Velek finishes his Quinnipiac career with a 12-2 MAAC record at No. 1 singles, while leading the Bobcats to two MAAC titles.
