
Fabbri Adds Sydney Ryan to '25-'26 Squad

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball program has announced the signing of Sydney Ryan (Nashville, TN / Furman), as announced by head coach Tricia Fabbri on Monday, April 28th.
Ryan will join the Bobcats after spending the last three seasons at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Sydney's sister, Ella, will be a first-year player with the Bobcats next season.

Ryan will join the Bobcats after playing the last three seasons at Furman.
She played in 32 games with 30 starts last season in Greenville, SC. Ryan averaged 10.6 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game while averaging 31.8 minutes per game. Ryan dropped a season-high 24 points in a win over Georgia State (Nov. 27, 2024)..
Ryan reached double-digit figures in 17 contests last season and recorded four double-doubles. Ryan will bring stability to both ends of the floor for the Bobcats as she has recorded over 860 collegiate points and 79 steals in her collegiate career.
In her sophomore season, Ryan played in all 31 games and logged six starts. Ryan averaged 25 minutes per game off the bench and ranked fourth on the team in scoring (10.5 PPG) and third in rebounding (5.7 RPG). Ryan set a career-high, scoring 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the field and 4-for-8 from three-point range in a win over Southern Wesleyan.
Ryan had a solid first season in Greenville, playing in 29 games and averaging 6.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Ryan scored a season-high 25 points in her first collegiate game against Erskine (Nov. 9, 2022). Ryan followed up that performance with a double-double against Presbyterian in just her second collegiate contest.
Prior to Furman, Ryan attended Brentwood High School for her final two high school seasons. Ryan was named to the All-Region Team in both years at Brentwood and led the team to a second straight district-runner-up finish after averaging 21.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in her senior season. For her sophomore year, Ryan attended Hamilton Heights Christian University and led her team to a National Association of Christian Academies national championship.
