Baseball Drops Midweek Contest to Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team dropped the midweek contest against the Yale Bulldogs, 8-2, on Wednesday afternoon in New Haven.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Quinnipiac got on the scoreboard first as James Marino came home on an RBI groundout from Alex Irizarry. Yale would respond in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead. Yale's first run came in on an RBI groundout and their second run came home on a double.
Johnny Knox flew out in the fifth inning, allowing CJ Willis to score and knot the game up at two. Yale responded with two more runs in the bottom half of the inning as they took their lead right back.
With the Bulldogs leading 4-2 heading into the seventh inning, Yale added on with two more runs, taking a 6-2 lead.
Yale would tack on two more runs in the eighth inning and shut the Bobcats down in the top of the ninth to win 8-2.
