Mueller, Smith Each Hit Two Homers in the Win
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Bobcats defeated the CCSU Blue Devils in their midweek, non-conference matchup, 13-7, on Tuesday afternoon in Hamden. With the win, the Bobcats extended their win streak to four games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats had their bats going from the very first pitch as they scored three runs in the opening inning. Sebastian Mueller launched his sixth home run of the season as he gave Quinnipiac an early 2-0 lead. With two outs and the bases loaded, Johnny Knox reached on an infield single to score James Marino with Quinnipiac's third run of the inning.
Sebastian Mueller drove in his third run of the game as he brought home Sean McCulloch with a sacrifice fly to left field, making it a 4-0 lead for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac and Central Connecticut were both held off the board until the sixth inning until CCSU scored six in the top half of the sixth inning. The Blue Devils scored six runs on five hits to take a 6-4 lead. Quinnipiac immediately responded in the bottom half of the inning. Sean McCulloch brought the Bobcats within one as he scored Sam Ametrano on an RBI groundout. With two outs in the inning, Kyle Garbowski brought the Bobcats even with an RBI single to left center. Christian Smith put his stamp on the inning as he launched a three-run home run to put the Bobcats up 9-6.
CCSU made it a two-run ballgame in the eighth inning before the Bobcats scored four in the bottom of the 8th to give themselves insurance. Sebastian Mueller and Christian Smith hit back-to-back home runs in the inning before CJ Willis hit a home run of his own to give QU a 13-7 lead.
