No. 2 Bobcats Knock off No. 8 Iona to Extend Regular Season Win Streak

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling program won its tenth consecutive regular season meet as it defeated Iona by a 264.280-257.475 final in New Rochelle on Saturday night.
The Bobcats used the Acro and Toss events to separate themselves from the Gaels, winning each event by two points to create their distance.

HIGHLIGHTS
After earning a slim victory in the compulsory round, the Bobcats utilized a pair of 9.5 or higher scores in Acro 6 and 7, besting the Gaels by 2.10 in Acro 6 to create separation.
A 9.60 in the Open Pyramid highlighted that event before a trio of 9's in the toss event countered all Iona scores in the eight range.
Katherine Carter and Gabriella Pierce again stood out in the tumbling round, scoring 9.60 and 9.70 respectively in their Aerial and Six-Element Passes to power the Bobcats to the win.
