Women's Lacrosse Releases 2026 Slate; Season to Begin Valentine's Day at Home

HAMDEN, Conn. — Head coach Jordan Christopher and the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program announced its 2026 schedule on Monday afternoon, comprising of 16 games, with eight league and eight non-league contests, starting on Feb. 14 against Long Island foe Hofstra at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.
The 2026 roster is highlighted by the return of the 2025 MAAC Goalie and Rookie of the Year in Shannon Alden, along with All-Rookie selections Emma Miller-Ayala and Anna Givens returning to the roster.
The Bobcats also bring back an experienced offensive core, returning six of their top eight scorers from a season ago led by seniors Mia Delmond (59 points) and Cate Bendowski (49 points) and the aforementioned Givens (28 points) and Miller-Ayala (15 points).
After the opener at home against Hofstra, the Bobcats begin a three-game road swing that includes national power Yale on Feb. 17 and then New Hampshire on Feb. 22 and Central Connecticut State on Feb. 25.
A pair of home games await Quinnipiac after that, hosting Bryant (March 4) and New Haven (March 7) before the squad's spring break trip to the Carolinas that features matchups with Gardner-Webb (March 13) and Furman (March 15).
League play beings with the Buffalo schools, as Quinnipiac welcomes Niagara to Hamden for the first time since 2022 in the MAAC opener. The Bobcats then head back to Western New York to take on Canisius on March 25 before coming back to Hamden on March 28 for a matchup with Manhattan.
Two out-of-state road contests are next on the slate, as Iona (April 1) and Merrimack (April 4) welcome Quinnipiac to town. The Bobcats will then round out their home regular season slate with Rider (April 8) and Fairfield (April 11) before closing out the overall regular season at Sacred Heart on April 18.
The Bobcats will be chasing their third playoff appearance in the last four seasons, securing a win in the previous two.
