Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's volleyball team closes out the regular season with a trip to Western New York to take on the Niagara Purple Eagles (Nov. 14) and the Canisius Golden Griffins (Nov. 15). The first serve against Niagara is slated for 5 PM. The match against Canisius is set to begin at 2 PM.

LOOKING AHEAD
- Next week, the Bobcats will be back in the MAAC Postseason with their opponent and seed to be determined.

LOOKING BACK
- The Bobcats saw their win streak reach eleven matches as they swept both the Saint Peter's Peacocks and the Rider Broncs last weekend.
- In the win over the Peacocks, Leilani-kai Giusta led the way for the Bobcats as she recorded 12 kills in the win. Giusta also tied for the team lead with two service aces in the win.
- On Senior Day on Saturday against Rider, Ginevra Giovagnoni paced the Bobcats with 10 kills in the win. Giovagnoni earned double-digit kills for the fifth straight match.
- Damla Gunes earned Setter of the Week honors after her performance in the flawless weekend for the Bobcats.
BACK IN THE POSTSEASON
- Quinnipiac punched their ticket to the 2025 MAAC Championships, with their seed TBD.
- This marks the 10th year in a row that the Bobcats have booked their spot to the MAAC Tournament.
2024 SEASON REWIND
- The Bobcats finished the season with 19 wins, including a five-game winning streak to close out the regular season.
- The Bobcats finished 15-3 in MAAC play, which locked them into the No. 2 seed for the 2024 MAAC Championships.
- QU defeated No. 3 Rider, 3-1, in the MAAC Semifinals to punch their ticket to the title game.
- Quinnipiac ultimately fell in four sets to in-state rival Fairfield as their season came to an end.
PRESEASON ACCOLADES
- Quinnipiac women's volleyball was selected to finish second in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office on August 20th.
- Elena Giacomini was named the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year after winning the MAAC Player of the Year award last season.
- Along with Giacomini being named to the All-MAAC Preseason team, Ginevra Giovagnoni and Damla Gunes also earned those honors.
HEAD COACH KYLE ROBINSON
- Head Coach Kyle Robinson enters his seventh season with the Bobcats in 2025. Robinson currently has an 82-81 (.503) record in his tenure in Hamden, including this season's matches.
- Robinson is 226-164 over his career as a collegiate head coach (7 seasons at LIU before QU).
- Robinson has firmly cemented himself as one of the premier college coaches in the NCAA's highest division. He effectively etched his signature on Quinnipiac volleyball by becoming the first head coach in program history to lead the program to an NCAA Tournament berth in 2022.
STRONG RETURNING GROUP
- The Bobcats return 10 members who were on the squad last season.
- Among those returners are Elena Giacomini, last season's MAAC Player of the Year and this season's Preseason Player of the Year, Damla Gunes, the two-time MAAC Setter of the Year, Ginevra Giovagnoni, last season's Preseason Player of the Year, and Yagmur Gunes, who was named to the 2024 MAAC All-Tournament team.
THE '25 MAAC SCHEDULE
- After competing in four non-conference tournaments, the Bobcats open MAAC Play on September 26th in Fairfield, Connecticut, against the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
- The Bobcats face the reigning MAAC Champions, Fairfield, on September 27th on the road for a rematch of last year's title game.
- Quinnipiac's first home weekend is October 3-4 as they welcome Canisius and Niagara to Burt Kahn Court.
- After a four-game road trip, the Bobcats return to Quinnipiac for a seven-game homestand, which kicks off on October 24th against Fairfield.
- The Bobcats' final regular season weekend will be spent in Western New York against Niagara and Canisius (Nov. 14-15).
- The 2025 MAAC Women's Volleyball Championship will begin on Tuesday, November 18th with the first-round contests.
