HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought Metro Conference matchup against Siena, 3-1 (23-25, 25-14, 19-25, 23-25), on Friday evening at Burt Kahn Court.
Giulia Ragusa paced the Bobcats' offensive attack with 11 kills, while Sahra Ozbiltekin registered a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
Sila Yildiz posted a strong performance of her own, finishing with 9 kills on a .471 hitting percentage to go along with 12.5 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Set One (Siena 25, Quinnipiac 23): Quinnipiac came out firing with 15 kills in the opening frame, but Siena narrowly edged out the set to take an early lead. Giulia Ragusa led QU with five kills over the first, while Klara Olszewska recorded 12 assists.

Set Two (Quinnipiac 25, Siena 14): The Bobcats bounced back in dominant fashion, catching fire with a .423 hitting percentage and holding the Saints to just .067 to cruise to a 25-14 victory and level the match. Both Sahra Ozbiltekin and Sophia Minlend led QU with four kills in the set.

Set Three (Siena 25, Quinnipiac 19): Siena reclaimed momentum in the third set, locking down defensively to take a 2-1 match advantage. The Saints hit .279 during the set.

Set Four (Siena 25, Quinnipiac 23): In a thrilling frame featuring 12 ties and six lead changes, Quinnipiac battled down to the wire before Siena secured a tight 25-23 decision to take the match. Sahra Ozbiltekin battled to five kills during the final set of action.

- Siena recorded 11.0 total team blocks, while the Bobcats registered 8.0.
- Giulia Ragusa is up to 169 kills (2.86 kills per set) during her first season with the Bobcats.
