MONTGOMERY, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac men's and women's cross country teams head up to Twin Ponds on the Farm on Saturday for the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, held at the site for the third consecutive season.
The women's title race is scheduled for 11 a.m. and the men's race will be at Noon.
WOMEN'S PREVIEW
Winners of three consecutive MAAC titles, the women are lining up for a fourth consecutive championship on Saturday morning, led by a pair of returners from last season's team in Rachel St. Germain and Sierra Gray. Both winners of a MAAC Runner of the Week award, the two earned All-MAAC accolades a season ago, finishing fifth and sixth at the Championship, respectively. Maddie O'Neill earned All-Rookie honors in the meet a year ago as well. Zoe Merryman, Weronika Lewna and Ashley Carillo also scored for Quinnipiac at the Pre-National Meet a couple of weeks ago.
MEN'S PREVIEW
The Bobcats used another young class to power their successes this season, with sophomores Alex Saldana and Slater von Stetten consistently finishing in the top two on the team throughout the year. First-years Tyler Deme, Shepard Livingston and Kyle McCarron all scored for the Bobcats at the Paul Short Run. Quinnipiac made a significant jump at the 2024 MAAC Championships, recording the squad's best team average at the meet since 2018.
