Bobcats Finish Red Bandana Invitational in 2nd Place

CANTON, Mass. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program concluded its first tournament of the 2024 Fall schedule in second place at the Red Bandana Invitational hosted by Boston College. The Bobcats shot a team total of 311 (+23) for a three-round total of 929 (+65).
Sophia Fujita finished the two-day Invitational in 9th place (+15, 231). Fujita shot a 78 (+6) in the final 18 holes to conclude her first collegiate tournament.
First-year Marisa Flores closed out her first collegiate tournament in 21st place. Flores carded a 76 (+4) in the final round of the tournament to give her a two-day total of 234 (+18).
Natalie Spiska finished in a tie for 21st place. Spiska finished the tournament with a score of +18 (234) after shooting 81 (+9) in the third round.
Samantha Galantini finished day two in a tie for 25th place after shooting a +5 (77) on the last 18 holes.
Fuge Zhang rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping as she finished in 40th place (+25). Zhang carded an 80 (+8) in the final round of the tournament.
Amy Goddard competed as an individual in her first collegiate tournament and finished in 78th place after shooting 259 (+43).
The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, September 28th as they open up competition at the Navy Fall Invitational in Annapolis, MD.

- Quinnipiac finished in second place with a score of +65 (929), just one stroke ahead of Boston University, who finished in third.
- Samantha Galantini and Natalie Spiska each parred on 11 of 18 holes on the final day.
- Flores and Zhang were second on the team with ten pars on the day.
- Flores also birdied on the 6th and 8th holes.
- Quinnipiac's grouping recorded a total of 150 pars and 21 birdies.
