Peralta Earns MAAC Golfer Of The Week Honors

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac women's golfer Leeyen Peralta earned MAAC Women's Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday, March 13. Peralta earned two MAAC Golfer of the Month Awards in the Fall season and two Golfer of the Week awards in the spring season.

Peralta led the Quinnipiac Bobcats to a second-place finish at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational in Oldsmar, Florida. In round one, Peralta shot a 72 (E) and she shot a 74 (+2) in round two for a tournament score of +2 (146). She finished four strokes ahead of the second-place finisher as she won her third tournament of the year. Peralta led the team with 24 pars and tied for the team lead with five birdies.

The Quinnipiac women's golf program will be back in action at the Farleigh Dickinson Invitational in Hamburg, New Jersey on April 7-8. The two-day tournament will take place at the Crystal Springs Resort.
