Marinov Dubbed MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week

Sophomore made 20 saves on 22 shots in first start of season
DANBURY, Conn. — Sophomore goaltender Matej Marinov is the MAC Goaltending ECAC Goalie of the Week, the league announced on Monday morning.
The Nitra, Slovakia native made 20 saves on 22 shots on his frame in his first start of the 2024-25 season, earning his first career weekly award and helping the Bobcats to a 3-2 win over Penn State in their season opener on Saturday night.
He made 11 appearances a season ago, finishing with a 1.85 goals-against average and .913 save percentage, finishing with a 6-3 record.
Marinov and the Bobcats will return to the ice on Friday and Saturday night, heading to Maine for a Top 10 series with the Black Bears at Alfond Ice Arena.
