Dailey's 60m Win Highlights Bobcats at URI Invitational

Nyasia Runs ECAC Cut Time of 7.69 to Take First
KINGSTON, R.I. — Sophomore - sprinter Nyasia Dailey won the 60-meter event in an ECAC cut time of 7.69 seconds to highlight the Quinnipiac women's track and field team's participation at the URI Invitational on Saturday on the campus of the University of Rhode Island.
Four other Bobcats hit ECAC marks, as Rylie Smith (500m), Alessandra Zaffina (Mile), Lauren Selkin (3k) and Rachel St. Germain (3k) all ran qualifying times. Zaffina finished the highest of the group, crossing the line second in the mile.
Smith and Selkin each finished third in their events, respectively, while St. Germain came in one spot behind in fourth.
In the field events, Shaelyn Murphy, Olaitan Olagundoye and Erin Brennan each recorded top five finishes in their respective spots.
Brennan finished fourth in the long jump (5.26m), while Olagundoye placed fifth in the triple jump (10.70m) and Murphy finished the same in the high jump (1.60m)

The Bobcats' next time on the track will be Friday and Saturday at the Dr. Sanders Invite in New York City, hosted by Columbia.
