
Arion Lewis, Amarri Tice Join Quinnipiac Ahead of 2023-24

Hamden, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball has added guard Arion Lewis and forward Amarri Tice to its 2023-24 roster, as announced by Head Coach Tom Pecora and the Bobcats on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
Lewis – a 6-foot-3 guard – will join the Bobcats' program after spending the previous season at Delaware State.
Tice spent his freshman campaign at Wofford College last year, playing in 22 total games for the Terriers.
"We're thrilled to welcome both Arion Lewis and Amarri Tice to our Quinnipiac family," Head Coach Tom Pecora said. "Arion and Amarri will impact winning in many ways on and off the court. We're excited to get the chance to work with each of them, and we can't wait to see what they're able to accomplish here in Hamden."
Arion Lewis | Guard | Philadelphia, Pa.
Lewis competed at Laramie County Community College (Wyoming) in 2021-22, averaging 14.0 PPG, 7.0 APG and 4.5 RPG for the eventual regular-season conference champions. He sat out the second half of the season at Laramie before transferring to Delaware State. He did not see action this past season at Delaware State due to an injury.
Prior to Laramie, Lewis attended Cochise College (Arizona) during the 2019-20 campaign. He finished second on the team in scoring over 30 contests, registering 14.0 PPG to go along with a 40.0% 3-point shooting percentage. He dished out 4.0 assists per game at Cochise College, helping lead the team to a 25-6 regular season record and a conference regular season title.
Amarri Tice | Forward | Newburgh, N.Y.

Tice played in 22 contests at Wofford State last year, starting 11 times. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, shooting better than 69 percent from the free throw line.
The Newburgh, New York-native scored a total of 80 points in 2022-23 for the Terriers. He scored a season-high 11 points at Drake (11/14) and at Furman (2/4). Tice played in a season-best 30 total minutes at Vanderbilt (12/3). Tice averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game his senior year at South Kent.

Lewis and Tice are the third and fourth additions for Quinnipiac in May of 2023. The Bobcats also added forward Richie Springs (transfer via UConn) and guard Doug Young (transfer via Midland College) on May 10.
Quinnipiac finished up the 2022-23 season at 20-12 overall (11-9 MAAC) – earning the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Tournament. The Bobcats reached 20 wins for just the fourth time in the program's Division I history.
