Peralta Opens Spring Campaign With MAAC Golfer of the Week Honors

EDISON, N.J. - Senior Leeyen Peralta was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Golfer of the week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Peralta had an impressive start to the spring season this past weekend, tying for 16th of 62 competitors at the Atlantic Invitational held at the Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach, Fla.
Peralta shot a 214 (+1) in the stacked tournament and logged 11 birdies. She opened with a blistering 67 (-4) in the first round of play, aiding Quinnipiac in setting a new single-round program-best score of 282. After entering the third round at an even 142, Peralta closed the tournament with a 72 (+2) to claim her first top-20 finish of the spring.
The award marks the seventh monthly/weekly award of Peralta's career and second of the season.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, March 17, when they open play at the Wofford Invitational.
