
Bobcats Claim Six Victories, Finish Second at MAAC Championships

NEW YORK — In a race to the finish, the Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field team finished second at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, held over two days at The Armory in New York City.
The Bobcats claimed six victories over the two days, with three in each session, including culminating the meet with a dominant win in the 4x400 relay.
Freshman Erin Brennan took Women's Field Rookie of the Meet honors, winning the pole vault and also scoring in the triple jump to total 12 points in her first conference championship meet.
The Bobcats also took home victories on Sunday in the 400m, with Rylie Smith and Alyssa Romagnoli finishing 1-2 in the event, and the 800m, courtesy of Emily Young.
Quinnipiac also had a pair of 2-3 finishes, with Romagnoli and Smith going in that order in the 200m and Young joining Alessandra Zaffina in a 2-3 finish in the mile.
As a team, the Bobcats recorded thirteen, Top 10 performances on the program list.

NOTES
- The Bobcats finished 14 points behind the winners, Rider, but were 97 points ahead of third-place Mount St. Mary's.
- Olaitan Olagundoye and Brennan both recorded a pair of top 10's, with Brennan upping her program record in the pole vault at 3.46m. She also jumped an 11.18m in the Triple Jump, good for sixth al-time. Olagundoye jumped an 11.24 in the Triple, which is fifth on the program's list. Her 1.65m high jump is third all-time.
- Sydney Lavelle and Avery Jordan both are in the top five in program history in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 9.00 and 9.18, respectively. Lavelle also sits sixth in the long jump, marking 5.58m tonight.
- Nyasia Dailey added a 7.74 in the 60m prelims on Saturday night, good for fourth in program history.
- Romagnoli and Smith both clocked in with Top 10 times, as Romagnolie's 25.09 in the 200m is good for eighth, while Smith's 55.21 in the 400m is third.
- Camille Sweet jumped 11.30m in the triple jump, good for fourth in program history.
