Quinnipiac Claims No. 2 Spot at New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass. — The Quinnipiac women's indoor track and field team wrapped up its indoor season on Saturday, placing second in the region at the 2025 New England Championships.
The Bobcats finished with 109 points, 12 ahead of Holy Cross for third and 25 behind team champions Rhode Island in the 20-event meet.
Quinnipiac claimed four individual titles in the event, as Nyasia Dailey broke the school record again in the 60m, clocking in at 7.42 to win the event. Smith also set a new school mark in the 500m, finishing the race in 1:12.77 en route to the victory.
Rachel St. Germain won the mile (4:57.95) and the 4x800 relay team of Sierra Gray, Claire O'Sullivan, Christina Gunsalus and Rachel St. Germain also claimed top spot (9:15.89).

The Bobcats turn their attention to the outdoor season and the Raleigh Relays, set to begin at the end of March on the campus of NC State.

- Dailey's mark puts her top of the charts again in the 60m, besting the second spot by 0.1 seconds.
- Sydney Lavelle also cemented herself sixth all time, finishing the 60m in 7.77 seconds.
- Izzie Anzaldo moved into sixth all-time in the 400m, clocking in at 55.93.
- Smith moved to the top of the rankings in the 500m, becoming the first Bobcat to break the 1:13 mark in the 500m (1:12.77).
- The Bobcats' Distance Medley Relay of Weronika Lewna, Madelyn Durkee, Claire O'Sullivan and Rachel St. Germain finished in 11:57.65, good for sixth on the Bobcats' top 10 list.
