Bobcats Claim Five Wins at URI Invitational

KINGSTON, R.I. — Four individuals and the 4x800 relay team took home event wins at the URI Invitational on Saturday, as the Quinnipiac women's track and field program resumed action after its holiday break.
The Bobcats earned a pair of wins on the track and in the field, as Kayleanne Campbell and Lauren Fadairo took home victories in the high jump and long jump, respectively.
It was Nyasia Dailey in the 60m and Sydney Lavelle in the 200m that took a trip to the winner's circle on the track, and they were joined by the 4x800 relay of Rachel St. Germain, Alessandra Zaffina, Weronika Lewna and Ashlynn Witt who took home the win.

- In her first collegiate action, Gabrielle Appiah marked 10.57m in the shot put, good for eighth on the program all-time list.
- Campbell's winning high jump matched her collegiate best, which is also good for third on the all-time list.
- Erin Brennan hit 3.66m in the pole vault, jumping her to second on the all-time charts.
- Fadairo's winning jump cements her place in second on the program charts, putting her 0.18 behind recordholder Britney Del Mundo.
