Bobcats Set to Compete at 2023 MAAC Indoor Championships

NEW YORK — Championship season has arrived for the Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field team, as they get set to compete in the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, set for Saturday and Sunday night at The Armory in New York City.
The Bobcats finished tied for second at last season's championships and were picked second in the preseason poll behind Rider, who also tied for second a season ago.
Quinnipiac took home six golds at the 2022 Championships, including the 4x400 relay event from which they return two winners in sophomores Rylie Smith and Asia Mercier.
Carolyn Martin's crew enters the weekend with 21 performances inside the Top 5 on the MAAC performance list coming into the meet, including four seeded in the top spot of their event.
The four in the top spot include Rylie Smith (400m), Emily Young (1000m), and the team's 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams.
