No. 7 Bobcats Ride Offensive Explosion to Convincing Victory over No. 10 Cornell

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 7 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team started fast and did not let up on Friday night, rolling to an 8-4 win over No. 10 Cornell at M&T Bank Arena.
The Bobcats roared out to leads of 3-0 and 4-1 in front of the home faithful, but Cornell scored a pair exactly eight minutes apart in the second to cut the home team's lead to 4-3 with just over seven minutes on the clock.
Jayden Lee scored a circus goal in front of the net with 28 seconds left in the period, making it a multi-goal advantage again heading into the second intermission.
After Cornell scored at the 3:51 mark, the Bobcats rattled off three more to match their season high in tallies and earn a Top 10 victory at home.

The Bobcats will look to extend their win streak to five on Saturday night, taking on Colgate at 7 p.m., at M&T Bank Arena.

STATS AND NOTES
- Lee had a career night, posting new collegiate bests in assists (three) and points (four) to lead the Bobcats in both categories. Quinnipiac's captain has nine points over his last three games.
- Graf also has nine points since his return to action, posting three consecutive, three-point nights. He has four, multi-point games on the season and 27 for his collegiate career. He also has six multi-goal performances to his credit.
- Matthew McGroarty tallied his first collegiate goal to start tonight's scoring.
- Quinnipiac posted eight goals for the second time this season, matching the total they had on Oct. 14 against AIC in a shutout win.
- Cristophe Tellier posted a new collegiate high with a three-point night. He recorded a goal and a pair of assists. He now has three, multi-assist games to his credit and its the first of his 2023-24 campaign.
- Cooper Moore matched his career-high with a pair of assists tonight, the second time he's done that in his college career. Both performances have been since joining the Bobcats.
- Quinnipiac has scored 24 goals over their last four games and are now 5-0-1 over their last six.
- The Bobcats improved to 37-4-2 at M&T Bank Arena since the start of the 2021-22 campaign.
