TOP FINISHERS THIS SEASON
- The Bobcats have competed in a pair of events so far this year.
- Cam Starr (19:54.20) finished as the Bobcats highest runner in 22nd place at the Stony Brook Season Opener (9/3). Kevin Carballo (36th) and Andrew Woodbine (39th) finished as the second and third best runners for Quinnipiac.
- QU then competed in the Siena XC Invitational (9/10). Cam Starr was the highest Quinnipiac finisher once again (17th Overall), posting a time of 25:49.5. Kevin Carballo finished 73rd (26:54.0).
- David Scrivines was announced as the head coach of the Quinnipiac University Men's Cross Country program on Monday, Aug. 1. Scrivines holds over 25 years of coaching and teaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels.
- Prior to Quinnipiac, Scrivines spent the previous five seasons as the head coach of the Fairfield University Men's and Women's Cross Country programs.
- Both the men's and women's squads have made positive strides during Scrivines' tenure. At the 2019 MAAC Championship, the women recorded an eighth place finish -- their best showing at the conference meet since 2013 -- and then improved further with a seventh-place showing at the spring 2021 edition of the meet.
- For the men, Robert Dillon placed 22nd at the spring 2021 championship, less than 15 seconds shy of earning All-MAAC status. Also Fairfield's top finisher at the 2019 MAAC Championship, his 22nd-place showing in 2021 was the best for a Stag since the 2016 conference meet.
- The head cross country coach of St. Joseph High School in Trumbull from 2000-16, Scrivines was also an assistant basketball coach for the Cadets. He previously coached cross country, track and field, and basketball in Connecticut dating back to 1996.
- Scrivines also worked as a scout for the Colorado Rockies and Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau and is currently a pro scout for the Boston Red Sox.
- The Bobcats are slated to compete in six total events before the MAAC Championships.
- QU begins the fall schedule on Long Island at Stony Brook (Sept. 3), competing in the Stony Brook Invitational.
- Quinnipiac then heads to Siena for a road meet (Sept. 10), followed by the Iona Invitational (Sept. 16).

- The Bobcats will compete in the MAAC Championships in Colonie, New York on Saturday, Oct. 29, and the NCAA Regional Championships are set for Nov. 11
- The Bobcats finished #8 at the MAAC Championships last season.
