Bobcats Complete Wire-to-Wire Victory over Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. – The fourth-seeded Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling team triumphed over fifth-seeded Oregon on Thursday night in the NCATA Quarterfinals at UO's Matthew Knight Arena. With the victory, the Bobcats advance to Friday's NCATA National Semifinals where they'll square off with top-seeded Baylor.

NOTES

QU started strong, posting a 9.625 in the Compulsory Acro heat, the team's highest score in that heat this season. This helped the Bobcats pick up a slight edge afte Compulsory.
Quinnipiac's 7-Element Acro score of 9.825 was also the team's best of 2022, while the team also matched season highs in the Inversion and Synch heats of the Pyramid event.
The teams tied the Acro event before the Bobcats opened up a bigger cushion after an Oregon fall in the Pyramid event.
The 9.75 in heat one of the Toss event was Quinnipiac's best of the season and the tumbling trio pass group posted a 9.0 for the first time this year.
The victory is the second over Oregon this season and just the third for Quinnipiac in the all-time series between the two programs.
The Bobcats posted a score of at least 270 for the sixth time this season.
