Bobcats Set to Take on Syracuse at Columbus Regional in NCAA Tournament

2022 NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship Bracket
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team is set to make its third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and first since the 2015-16 season. In the 2022 NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship bracket, Quinnipiac will take on Syracuse in the first round at No. 1 Ohio State. The winner of the first round will take on the Buckeyes in the second round.
The Bobcats and Orange will play in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, March 10, and the winner will face Ohio State on Saturday, March 12. The winner of the second round game will then advance to the Frozen Four, which will be held in University Park, Pa., at Penn State.
A record five ECAC Hockey teams punched their tickets to the NCAA Tournament this year. The Colgate Raiders earned the automatic bid after winning the ECAC Hockey Tournament Championship game on Saturday, March 5, and the Yale Bulldogs earned the No. 5 seed overall seed. The WCHA has four teams in the tournament and Hockey East and the CHA have one each.
The Ohio State Buckeyes were named the number one overall seed after winning the WCHA Championship over the Minnesota Gophers on Sunday, March 6.
Quinnipiac is coming off a 3-2 loss to Colgate in the ECAC Hockey semifinal game. The Bobcats stand at 25-9-3 overall this season.
