No. 9 Quinnipiac Drops OT Battle to No. 14 Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The No. 9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team came up just short in a tight ECAC battle, falling 2-1 in overtime to No. 14 Colgate on Saturday afternoon.
After forty scoreless minutes, Colgate broke through early in the third with a goal from their leading scorer.
Kahlen Lamarche responded just two minutes later, burying her 22nd of the season to tie the game and extend her lead as the nation's top goal-scorer.
Despite a strong push, the Bobcats were edged in overtime. Quinnipiac still secured four of six points on the weekend following Friday's win at Cornell.
Felicia Frank delivered another strong performance in net, making 29 saves in her 20th outing of the year.

- Kahlen Lamarche scored her 22nd goal and 31st point of the year. She is now three goals and two points away from the 100 career points and 50 career goals milestones.
- Lamarche now holds the most goals by an ECAC skater before Christmas in the last seven seasons.
