COOKVILLE, Tenn. - The Bobcats continued the team's spring break trip in Tennessee with a single game against Indiana State on Sunday, March 13. The Bobcats fell, 6-3, to the Sycamores. First-year Taylor Walton pitched six innings with a season-high four strikeouts. Senior Bridget Nasir led the Bobcats with two doubles.
The Bobcats move to 1-6 on the season and Indiana State improves to 11-9.
Highlights:
First Inning – The Bobcats got on the board first with one run in the opening inning. Senior Bridget Nasir started strong with a double to right center field. First-year Brooke Hilliard added a single and advanced to second base, moving Nasir to third. First-year Taylor Walton grounded out to first base, and Nasir scored from third.
Fourth Inning – Down 3-1, the Bobcats looked to claw back in the fourth. Cy Gonzalez hit a single to shortstop to get the inning going. Nasir then hit her second double of the game, recording an RBI as Gonzalez ran to home. Hilliard hit her second single of the game, allowing Nasir to score from third base, cutting the Sycamore's lead to 1.
Indiana State added three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on to win, 6-3.

Quinnipiac will play two games on Monday, March 14 against Bellarmine and Indiana State at 1:30 and 4 p.m., respectively.
