Softball Drops Pair to Iowa State and Howard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senior Bridget Nasir totaled three hits and two RBI to lead Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon, but the Bobcats were defeated by Iowa State and Howard in two non-conference games in Washington D.C.

Highlights
vs Iowa State (L, 14-1)

Nasir tripled in the fifth inning for her first of three hits on the afternoon.
First year Taylor Walton stepped in as a pinch hitter in the fifth inning and singled home Nasir on a 3-0 pitch to get the Bobcats on the board.
Brooke Hilliard stole a base in the loss.

vs Howard (L, 19-5)

Serena Fogg singled to drive in Alyssa Noce, who was followed by Bridget Nasir to give the Bobcats a 2-0 lead in the 2nd inning.
After Hilliard reached in the third and loaded the bases, Hannah Davis drove her in with a fielder's choice.
Nasir singled on the next at bat to drive in Lala Pascual who scored two runs in the loss.
Pascual scored in the 5th inning after Nasir reached on an error.
