Bobcats Sit in Fourth Place After Day One of MAAC Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team sits in fourth place with 29.5 points after Day 1 of the MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Kalli'ana Botelho led the team with a second and third place finish in the long jump and high jump finals.
Monmouth recorded 53 points and sits in first place. Rider is second with 41.5, followed by Iona with 32. After Quinnipiac, Manhattan has tallied 23 points in fifth place. Siena, Marist and Canisius make up the bottom three teams.
Day two of the MAAC Championships continues tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 20 in New York City.

Bobcats on the Track | Results
- In the 60m dash, Kalli'ana Botelho took second place with a time of 7.86 and Britney Del Mundo finished in third place with a time of 7.86, a new personal-best time. Symone Foster finished in eighth place (7.94). All three Bobcats qualified for the finals.
- Foster and Botelho took first and second place, respectively, in the 60m hurdles, which qualifies them for the finals. Foster tallied a time of 8.70, and Botelho notched a time of 8.72. Avery Jordan finished in 12th place with a time of 9.50.
- Aisha Gay took first place in the 400m dash preliminary race, recording a time of 56.93. Rylie Smith tallied a time of 1:00.12 in the 400m and finished in fourth place. Both Gay and Smith qualified for the finals.
- Gay also qualified for the finals in the 200m dash with a time of 24.82. Foster also qualified for the finals in the same event with a time of 25.83. Hayden Robinson just missed the qualifying mark, taking ninth place (26.01). Hailey Tolson was also close to qualifiying in 10th place with a time of 26.30.
- In the 1 mile preliminary race, Emily Young took first place with a time of 5:00.29. Amanda Carlson was the next best finisher for Quinnipiac, taking 12th place (5:09.73).
- Asia Mercier finished in second place in the 800m with a time of 2:19.29. Heather Feuchtenberger tallied a time of 2:19.19, finishing in sixth place. Mercier and Feuchtenberger both qualified for the finals. Brooke Hagen finished in 10th place with a time of 2:20.19.
- In the 5000m final, Liv DiStefano finished in sixth place with a time of 17:13.40. Marisa Keiser took 10th place with a time of 18:27.19. Lydia Keys took 13th place with a time of 18:31.19.
- In the distance medley relay, Quinnipiac took fourth with a time of 12:05.00. Clare Veverka, Asia Mercier, Brooke Hagen and Mia Pestle all raced on the Quinnipiac relay team.
- Botelho took second place in the high jump final with a 1.60m mark.
- In the long jump final, Botelho tallied a 5.55m leap, finishing in third and recording a new career-best mark. Del Mundo took fourth with a 5.50m mark, which is also a career best. Camille Sweet finished in ninth place (5.34m). All three Bobcats will advance to the final.
