4x400 Highlights Women's Track and Field's Opening Weekend Meet

BOSTON — The 4x400 relay team won its debut on Saturday afternoon at Boston University, highlighting three, top-five finishes for the Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field program in its debut meet for the 2022-23 campaign.
Alyssa Romagnoli, Sydney Lavelle, Elise Barricelli and Rylie Smith combined for a time of 3:54.03, besting the field by 1.38 seconds to take the title in the event.
Lavelle also impressed individually in her Bobcats debut, clocking in at 9.17 in the 60-meter hurdles, good for a fifth-place finish.
Michelle Tota, also in her Bobcats' debut, also recorded a top-five finish in the 200 meters, finishing in 26.13 seconds.
TOP FINISHERS
The Bobcats return to action next weekend, heading to Yale on Dec. 10 in their final meet before the holiday break.
