Bobcats Earn First Home Win of 2022 in Sweep Over Manhattan

HAMDEN, Conn. – Alexandra Tennon tallied 10 kills to extend her double-figure kill streak to 12 consecutive matches, as the Bobcats downed MAAC foe Manhattan in straight sets Sunday afternoon on Burt Kahn Court.
Milena Martinon added eight kills, while Giorgia Donghi contributed six kills of her own in the Bobcats' home win. Damla Gunes totaled 26 assists and a career-high six service aces in the victory.

QU jumped out to a 14-8 lead behind a combined five kills from Alexandra and Nicole Legg, forcing a Manhattan timeout. The Bobcats were able to increase their lead to 20-11 in the set before cruising to a 25-13 set win.
SET TWO (25-13)
The two sides played to a 4-4 tie in the set before Quinnipiac went on a 6-0 run to push ahead 10-4. The Bobcats kept their foot on the gas, extending the lead to as much as 21-11 before coasting to a 25-13 set win.
SET THREE (25-20)
The Bobcats jumped out to a 10-5 lead in the set and never looked back. The Jaspers cut it to as close as 24-20 in the set, however, the Bobcats closed the match with a Manhattan service error to clinch the set and match.
