Strong Paint Effort Leads QU Past Fairfield

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball scored 46 points in the paint on Sunday afternoon in Hamden, defeating in-state rival Fairfield by the final score of 72-66 inside the People's United Center.
Kevin Marfo stuffed the stat sheet once again, recording a team-high 16 points, seven rebounds and five rebounds. Marfo shot 6-of-8 from the floor over 26+ minutes.
Tymu Chenery added 13 points and five rebounds, and Brendan McGuire chipped in with 10 points and seven assists in the win.
The Bobcats shot 50.9% in the game. Quinnipiac is now 6-2 at the People's United Center in Hamden so far this season.
