Rodriguez, Thomas Earn All-MAAC Honors

Rodriguez played and started in all 36 games for the Bobcats. At the conclusion of the season, she lead the team with a .352 batting average with 122 at bats, 24 runs, 43 hits, eight doubles, one triple, two home runs and 18 RBIs. Her 43 hits rank first overall in the MAAC and is the highest single-season tally in the program since the 2018 season. Her eight doubles and 24 runs rank seventh in the conference. At third base, Rodriguez tallied 156 chances with 53 putouts and 94 assists, which rank second in the conference behind her teammate, Bridget Nasir. On defense, she recorded seven fielding double plays, which is ranked third behind QU's own Kayla Thomas and Nasir (10).
Thomas started and played in all 36 games for Quinnipiac. She has posted a .269 batting average with 119 at bats, 11 runs, 32 hits, five doubles, three home runs and 33 RBIs. Her 33 runs driven in are tied for first overall in the conference and are the most recorded by a Bobcat in a single season since 2018. On defense, Thomas has notched 229 putouts, which is good for first in the conference, and she led the MAAC with 10 fielding double plays.
The Bobcats finished the 2021 season on Tuesday, May 4 in two home losses against Fairfield.
