
Outdoor Track & Field Set for New England Championships

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field team will compete at the New England Championships this weekend in New Britain, Conn. The Bobcats will take a squad to Willow Brook Park to compete.

A Look at New Englands - On the Track
- Britney Del Mundo and junior Aisha Gay will compete in the 100m dash.
- Coming off her MAAC Championship win in the 200m dash, Hayden Robinson will compete in the same event at New Englands. Gay will also run in the 200m.
- Graduate student Meaghan Scullin will run in the 400m. First-year Alyssa Romagnoli, sophomore Eileen Donovan and senior Melissa Solomon will also run in the 400m.
- Senior Brooke Hagen will compete in the 800m
- Senior Amanda Carlson and juniors Mia Pestle, Emily Young and Katie Bradley will compete in the 1500m.
- First-years Liv DiStefano and Corinne Barney and junior Kate Gihorski will represent Quinnipiac in the 5000m.
- Senior Samantha Leal is set to run in the 10000m.
- Also coming off a MAAC Championship gold medal, junior Symone Foster will run in the 100m hurdles.
- In the 3000m Steeplechase, first-year Alessandra Zaffina will look to continue her momentum after winning the steeplechase at the MAAC Championship last weekend. Junior Madeleine Shellard will also run in the steeplechase.
- Junior Kalli'ana Botelho and first-year Grace Davis will compete in the high jump.
- Scullin will also compete in the long jump, alongside Del Mundo.
- Del Mundo looks to continue her momentum in the triple jump after taking second at the MAAC Championships.
- Graduate student Mikah Maples will throw in the discus and javelin events. Sophomore Amanda Minervino will also compete in the javelin.
