EDISON, N.J. — Quinnipiac women's track and field head coach Carolyn Martin is the 2026 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year, voted on by her colleagues and announced by the league on Wednesday morning.
Martin led the Bobcats to the culmination of a historic season over the weekend, winning the program's first-ever MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship, completing the Triple Crown and season sweep of the 2025-26 MAAC Championship season, winning the cross country title in November and the indoor crown in February.
A unanimous selection for the award, the Bobcats had not won either track title coming into this season, further cementing the historic nature of the campaign and enabling Martin to complete a sweep of her own by earning all three Coach of the Year trophies in the process.
Martin is now a seven-time MAAC Coach of the Year, which includes five awards in cross country (2015, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025), one in indoor (2026), and one in outdoor (2026). For her career, she has collected 10 total Coach of the Year accolades, also winning three NEC awards, with two in cross country (2009, 2011) and one in indoor (2012-13). Over the weekend, the program scored a total of 164.25 points, topping host Mount St. Mary's by 25.25 points during the two-day event.
