Vasile, Yanosov Lead Bobcats Past Friars

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's tennis earned its fourth victory of the 2021 spring season on Wednesday, recording a 5-2 win over Providence in non-conference play.
Dominique Vasile and Stephanie Yanosov led the Bobcats with two wins each. Vasile and Yanosov both won in singles, while also teaming up to battle to a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.
The Bobcats have now won three of their last four matches.

- Stephanie Yanosov/Dominique Vasile are now 6-2 as a doubles tandem this spring. They cruised to a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.
- Madison Williams finished off Providence's Melendez (6-2, 6-0) to pick up Quinnipiac's first singles point of the day. Williams is 5-3 from the No. 4 position in singles play this year.
- Claire Koscielski earned a victory at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-3). She's tied for a team-best mark with six singles wins in spring 2021.
- Dominique Vasile won from the No. 3 singles position. She topped Mulvey 7-5, 6-0 to earn her sixth singles victory.
- Kamilla Nella won her fifth singles match of the year – winning in straight sets over Providence's Gurski.
- Stephanie Yanosov also earned her sixth victory in singles play to keep pace with the team lead. She defeated Lindholm 6-0, 6-1 to pick up QU's fifth point of the day.
