POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's tennis fell in the 2021 regular-season finale on Sunday afternoon at Marist by the final score of 4-3.

Ayato Arakaki and Shaurya Sood each won a singles match, while the Bobcats came out victorious in each of the three doubles matchups.

NOTES

Shaurya Sood won QU's first singles matchup of the afternoon, defeating Augusto Bonorino 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot. Sood is 3-2 in singles matches this season.
Ayato Arakaki won at No. 2 singles in three sets (6-1, 6-7, 6-5) over Marist's John Oxner. He has now won five singles matchups this spring, which ranks tied for the team lead.
Austin Yannone/Aleksa Martinovic are 5-1 as a tandem this year, winning 7-5 from the No. 1 position this afternoon in Poughkeepsie.
Ayato Arakaki/Kemal Karagozoglu won their first doubles match of the spring, defeating John Oxner/Nestor Giribet Lopez 6-2.
Patrick Cachapero/Shaurya Sood have now won three doubles matches together this spring, as the pair earned a 6-3 win today over Piotr Sowinski/Jack Sequerth.
