Bobcats Earn 25-Point Win Over Rider on Sunday

QU Sets Season-High Mark in Points, Assists, 3-Pointers in Victory
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned its largest victory of the season on Sunday afternoon at the People's United Center, topping Rider by the final score of 93-68.
The 25-point win is the largest margin of victory this year for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac set a season-high in points (93), assists (22), and made 3-pointers (14).
The 25-point victory is the program's largest win under Head Coach Baker Dunleavy. The Bobcats earned a 24-point win against Bethune-Cookman (87-63) on Dec. 19, 2018.
Luis Kortright scored a career-high 25 points to lead the way, adding six rebounds and three assists.

- QU shot 21-of-38 (55.3 percent) in the first half, hitting 10 three-point attempts in the first 20 minutes.
- Quinnipiac got 51 points from its bench, and outscored Rider 40-24 in the paint.
- The Bobcats' largest lead of the game was 38 points, which came with 9:58 left in the second half after Jacob Rigoni knocked down two foul shots.
- Brendan McGuire added 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists. The performance is his fifth double-digit scoring effort of the year.
- Jacob Rigoni chipped in with 16 points and eight rebounds. Rigoni knocked down four more three-pointers, giving him 248 triples for his career. Rigoni needs five more threes to tie, and six more triples to break Rob Monroe's program record of 253.
- Savion Lewis stuffed the stat sheet with five points, seven rebounds, eight assists and a career-high six steals. Lewis' eight assists and seven rebounds both tie season-high marks.
- Tymu Chenery added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists. Seth Pinkney and Matt Balanc both scored seven points.
- The win marks Baker Dunleavy's 51st career victory as head coach of the Bobcats.
- Quinnipiac now turns its attention to Saint Peter's, as the Bobcats will play host to the Peacocks on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 4:00 PM.
- The contest is the Bobcats' final home game of the season, as Quinnipiac will honor the senior members of its program prior to the game.
