Second-Half Run Leads Bobcats Past Rider on Saturday

Rigoni Records Double-Double in Win
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball won its second straight MAAC game on Saturday afternoon at the People's United Center, cruising past Rider by the final score of 80-64.
Jacob Rigoni recorded his third double-double of the season – scoring 18 points to go along with a career-high 15 rebounds.
The first-year duo of Luis Kortright and Tymu Chenery each added 18 points to help pace the Bobcats' offense.
Quinnipiac went on an 11-0 run to pull away in the second half of the game. Rider tied the contest 53-53 on a Dwight Murray Jr. jumper with 9:36 left, then the Bobcats scored the next 11 points. The run ended with a Savion Lewis layup with 6:11 left, extending Quinnipiac's lead to 64-53.

- Junior Tyrese Williams chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds. He has 32 points in 62 minutes over the course of Quinnipiac's last two wins.
- First-year guard Luis Kortright also turned in an 18-point game to go along with three rebounds and three assists. Its his third collegiate game of 10+ points.
- Redshirt first-year forward JJ Riggins made his first career start in the victory, recording five points and two rebounds.
- Point guard Savion Lewis turned in a team-best +24 plus/minus rating in 20 minutes.

- The win marks Baker Dunleavy's 50th career victory as head coach of the Bobcats.
