Quinnipiac Earns Home Win on Wednesday Night in Hamden
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball battled to a win on Wednesday, Feb. 17, topping Iona by the final score of 74-70 at the People's United Center in Hamden.
Tyrese Williams led the Bobcats with a season-high 21 points, knocking down three triples. Williams went 10-of-11 from the foul line in the win.
Eight different players scored for Quinnipiac, as QU assisted on 16 of its 23 made field goal attempts.

- Quinnipiac went on a 10-0 scoring run over the final 3:25 of the first half. The Bobcats shot 12-of-30 (40.0 percent) in the first stanza, taking a 34-25 advantage into the locker room.
- QU took the lead on a Tymu Chenery dunk with 4:22 left in the second half. From that point on, the Bobcats never relinquished the advantage.
- The Bobcats shot 23-of-54 (42.6 percent) in total. Quinnipiac made nine three-point field goals, including three from junior guard Tyrese Williams.
- Quinnipiac is now 12-3 over the last three seasons when Tyrese Williams knocks down three or more triples.
- Tyrese Williams' 21 points are a season-high mark. He added four rebounds in the win.
- Savion Lewis chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists. The performance is Lewis' third-straight game of 10+ points.
- Jacob Rigoni added eight points, eight rebounds and three assists. Rigoni made two more three-pointers, pulling within 12 made triples of the Quinnipiac all-time record.
- Eight different players scored for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats also got key contributions from Tymu Chenery (9 points), Seth Pinkney (7 points), Luis Kortright (7 points), JJ Riggins (6 points) and Tyree Pickron (6 points).
